アフガニスタンの螢石（Afghan fluorite）

		無数のペグマタイトがあるアフガニスタンですが、螢石は大変少なく、私は結晶標本すら持っていません。　 　ルースはこれが二つ目ですが、いずれも魅力的な青い色です。 このルースのさざなみのような模様は背面にラジアン･カットと呼ばれる特別な放射状のカット面が施されているためです。 　Despite numerous pegmatite veins found throughout country, fluorite is relatively rare in Afghanistan. I do not have any crystal specimen yet. This pale blue stone is my second Afghan faceted stone. Curiously both of them are indigolite-like blue color. A ripple pattern is due to radian-cut on pavillion.

ブラジルの螢石（Brazilian fluorites）

3.58ct φ9.3mm	7.50ct 17.5x10.7x6.3mm	10.7ct 14.6x11.7x8.5mm

　アフガニスタンと同じく無数のペグマタイト鉱脈があるブラジルですが、螢石は稀にしか採れません。
が、宝石質のルースは時々市場に出てきます。
　過去1年ほどの間に入手したルースをまとめて展示します。
淡緑色のルースは実際にはもう少し色が濃いのですが、淡色のラウンド･カットのルースは写真撮影が難しく、本来の色会いを
上手に再現できません。
ペア・カットの石は完全に無色透明です。
　他の産地でも無色の螢石は比較的に珍しいのですが、螢石が稀なブラジルでは宝石質の無色の螢石結晶が比較的に多いようで、これで2個目です。
　最後のサファイアのような濃紺のルースは螢石としては稀な色合いです。
見る角度によって類帯構造がくっきりと現れますが、これは螢石には良くあることです。

　Brazil is relatively poor of fluorite resources, despite rich pegmatite veins throughout country, like Afghanistan. Faceted fluorites are sporadically seen in the market. A round-cut pale green stone has actually slightly deeper hue,but looks paler. A pear cut stone is colorless, which is relatively rare for fluorite. It is interesting that Brazil produces facetable colorless fluorites. A sapphire-like deep blue is also rare as fluorite. A remakable banded color is , however seen usually in fluorite.
