インド産のアイオライト(Indian Iolites)　　1.39 - 6.40ct

		アイオライト･キャッツアイは決して珍しい宝石ではありません。 が、いざ探すとなるとなかなか美しいものはありません。 　たまに遭遇すると意外に高価だったりするので持っていませんでした。 　とりわけ夢中で探すような石ではありませんからじっくりと待つこと20年余り、ようやく手頃な 値段の透明度が高く美しい石に出会いました。 　Iolite cat's-eye not the rare stone. But we seldom have an opportunity to encounter pretty stone with reasonable price. Because it is not the type of stone of aggressive quest, I have been waiting for more than 20 years and finally obtained this tone with nice transparency.

		赤鉄鉱の薄片結晶を含むために赤く見える”ブラッド・ショット　:　目が充血した" と呼ばれるアイオライトがあることは知っていました。 　が、長い間どんなものか見たこともありませんでした。 ところが最近になって市場に頻繁に姿を見せるようになりました。 　Although I have read an article about red-colored iolite, called "Blood shot" due to thin film hematite inclusion, I hadly had no chance to see it. Quite recently, India began to produce varieties of iolites, including this "Blood shot" one.

		アイオライトの色はやや沈んだ青が多いのですが、この石は明るく澄んだ色合いです。 宝石としては濃い色合いが高く評価されますが、標本としては淡く爽やかな色のアイオライト も悪くありません。 　This iolite has relatively pale but clear transparent tone. Although saturated deep tone is highly praised as gemstone, this clean appearance is attractive enough as iolite specimen.
